Accessibility Statement For The APT-Sepsis Programme

Our Commitment
We are committed to making the APT-Sepsis Programme website accessible to as many people as possible. This includes people with disabilities, those using assistive technologies, and visitors on a wide range of devices, connection speeds, and browsers.

Standards We Aim To Meet
We aim to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We also strive to align with the spirit of the UK Equality Act 2010 by taking reasonable steps to remove barriers to access.

What We’re Doing

  • Using semantic HTML, headings, and clear link text.

  • Providing meaningful alt text for informative images and marking decorative images appropriately.

  • Maintaining colour contrast and scalable text.

  • Ensuring keyboard accessibility and visible focus states.

  • Structuring content for screen readers and limiting motion/animation.

  • Testing templates with the Wix Accessibility Wizard and manual checks.

Compatibility
This site is designed to work with the latest versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and with mobile/desktop screen sizes. Some features may degrade on older browsers that don’t support modern standards.

Non-accessible Content And Planned Improvements
We are aware of the following issues and are working to resolve them on a rolling basis:

  • PDFs and downloads: Some legacy PDFs (including technical manuals) may not be fully tagged for accessibility. We can provide accessible HTML or tagged PDF versions on request.

  • Embedded third-party content: Some third-party widgets or media players may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We review alternatives and provide summaries or transcripts where possible.

  • Video captions/transcripts: Older videos may be missing captions or transcripts; these are being added.

Requesting Information In An Accessible Format
If you need information in a different format (accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio, or braille), contact us and tell us:

  • the web page or document you need,

  • the format you require, and

  • your name and contact details.
